Dr. Adam Rubin, D.P.T
Dr. Adam Rubin was born and raised east of Pittsburgh in Monroeville PA. He attended Slippery Rock University where he received his B.S. in Athletic Training in December 2011. While attending Slippery Rock University Dr. Rubin broadened his field of study with many adaptive physical activity courses and programs. This allowed Dr. Rubin to work with many patients of all ages acquiring experience with many severe and profound physical and intellectual disabilities. In addition, Dr. Rubin completed clinical rounds providing therapeutic rehabilitation to athletes from many sports including football, field hockey, basketball, baseball and soccer.
Following the completion of his undergraduate studies he then continued his education at Slippery Rock University and received his Doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2015. While attending graduate school Dr. Rubin undertook professional explorations and assistantships where he student taught underclassmen in both fields of physical therapy and athletic training. He also completed clinical residencies in the field of physical therapy at Wise Physical Therapy, Preferred Physical therapy, Forbes regional Hospital and Steel Valley Physical Therapy.
Over the past few years his clinical experience has consisted of working as a full time graduate assistant athletic trainer for Slippery Rock University from 2013 to 2014. While working as an athletic trainer for Slippery Rock University Dr. Rubin has treated a number of athletes from a wide variety of sports. Following the completion of his clinical residency at Steel Valley Physical Therapy he was hired as the clinics second full time physical therapist in 2015.
